my attention. This question can be interpreted in several different ways depending on how the viewer pictured Yuri, and in some cases Lara, in the movie and in the book. My answer to this is that he was a strong man in his demeanor and intentions, however he is weak mentally. My reasoning is that he cares for Tanya and her/his stepfather, but subdued by Lara’s charm and beauty.
